Happy 3rd Birthday!!

I always feel so guilty with your birthday being SO close to Christmas so even though we held your birthday party 2 weeks early, I decided that we should still celebrate your actual birthday (December 22) with a family celebration at home; Grandma came to join us; Aiden fell asleep before the festivities began. I made you a chocolate cake with pink sprinkles and we let you open our gifts from me & Daddy. Grandma brought you a balloon (what you told her you wanted). Some gifts you received from us include Candyland, Little Mermaid Barbie, Disney Princess houseshoes, finger paints and a smock, a Disney Princess CD player and since I forgot to take Ms. Lisa's present to Chuck E. Cheese for your party there, you got to open her gift: Disney Princess "purse" with 3 different card games inside and a Disney Princess board game.

I still can't believe you're already 3 years old; I still catch myself wanting to say that you're 2 whenever someone asks how old my kids are. The last 3 years have really flown by and I honestly wish I could keep you this age forever. You're already so incredibly smart and it's apparent whenever you're speaking. Your language skills are superbly stronger than those of your peers and I know that comes from reading to you all the time and using large words with you in conversation. When I look into your eyes I can see the wheels are constantly turning and your mind goes 90-to-nothing just like mine does. The last 3 years have been a challengingly fun time and I can't wait to see what the next 3 years have in store for us with you beautiful girl!!
